Jonathan Clarren, a Seattle-based artist, works with a wide range of materials and processes. As a sculptor and conceptualist, his work primarily deals with volumetric relationships in space and time. His work pools ideas found in ancient cultural phenomena and present day fundamental principals that can be found through out the world. As a designer and conceptual developer, he collaborates with artisans and technical professionals in diverse industries; he synthesizes old and new processes to produce specific results in his work. Jon’s initial art training was primarily studying the human form, the study of observation, and music theory.
